Hi Everyone,
Here is our August 2011 update, yeah I know it's October, sorry about that.
We had a team from CC Rocky Mountain, Canada, visit us in August. They brought many blessings to Iquitos. First, they did a weekend camp for our youth, this is the first time we have been able to have all of our Youth Groups together at the same time. We had youth from six locations.
This was the third and biggest youth retreat that we had this year. The Lord is doing a work with our youth and having the youth retreats has really energized our youth and filled them with a new outlook on thier walk and of their church, I think that gathering together has given them not only good teachings but a sense that they are part of something bigger than just their little church in their little village. Now that they know the youth from other villages, the youth from Centro Fuerte wanted to visit Panguana, so we trained them on how to teach Children's Church and they did the program when they visited, they also had a good time with the teens that they knew there and encouraged them.
The team from RMCC also did workshops, where they taught Inductive Bible Study, Drama, Puppets, etc. things that the young people could use back at thier own church's.

Second, the team from RMCC also brougt lots of crafts, which they did with the children of El Terminal, Centro Fuerte and Panguana. here are picture of the children at El Terminal, the RMCC team divided them into two teams the boys and the girls, which worked out really well, since the boys work and play games totally different than the girls.
