Hi Everyone,
Here is our November / December 2012 update;
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas. We were blessed to have a great Christmas program this year.
We started with a special program at El Terminal, a Baptist group that does a special Christmas program at many chuches for children every year, visited us this year. They did a very good job entertaining the children and teaching them a Bible story. When we found out that they were willing to visit us, we invited the local elementry school to join us and they agreed. So we had lots of children and parents for this event.

It has only been about 3 weeks since the rivers started rising but they are already pretty high, it seems that this year may be a another bad year for those who live in lower elevations close to where the waters rise. There a lot of malaria and denque in the river communities and outside the city this year.
Since many of our children were not able to attend our big Christmas program because we did it during the week and they attend school other than the elementry school at El Terminal, we were blessed to be able to do a mini chocolatada just for the children who attend our church every Sunday morning.

The school season will start in March, so part of my job is to let you know that many of the children that we work with are from families with very low income. Our children's support has dropped some so we will not be able to come along side any of the chilren this year. Thier needs are matriculation, outgrown uniforms, tennis shoes, notebooks, pencils, erasers, etc.. The cost varies from about $30 to $60 depending if they have outgrown thier school uniforms or not.
If you would like to come along side some of our children you can send a check to
